You guys cant laugh though I am new to the racing with manual  . So the shifts may not be spot on the only cars I have raced before was my 67 impala SS with Auto(totalled by a guy having a siezure in his suburban) and my 91 Lumina Z34 also auto. But mainly I just want to see what an 05 will do with less than capable hands :hysterical:

I BY NO MEANS WANT TO DISCOURAGE YOU YELLOW05

but you know it is about 1.5 hour to the track right?

And you have to pass the Bob Evans on your way if you want to join us. -- I can even loan you one of my EZpass' to get through the tolls :D - same for you turbota

A caravan through the tunnel! - I may even be able to ge an escort -- if we have more than 8 GTO's, well ok that may be pushing my sister-in-law but I can really loan you the EZpass

I am in the same boat. First time to the track since the 98WS6 in 1998 at MIR.
Shifter was a little better in that car. But still had problems launching.
Wish ROB was going to give us some pointers....

not a problem at all for the drive I drive 3 hours just to go to my car club meets down in norfolk. It will just be nice to get out there with some more goats I have been dying to get some pics with goats lined up. Also if I can convince my roommate to come with his RSX-S I can have someone to hold the Videocamera. Also do You guys have any directions or an exact address for this bob evans I will just toss it into the GPS and it will be a lot easier than you guys giving me directions cause I dont follow directions too well. As a matter of fact the girl on the GPS is always getting mad at me for going the wrong way saying "Make U-turn" "Make U-turn" LOL :hysterical:

****, Patrick, was that when I drove it? That was an imbarrasing effort on my part. 13.3 with a missed shift. Felt like a dork :D

I'm going to try and make it but I'm really not planning on being there. But never say never :)

A few from another forum are supposed to go also. Should be a good turnout if the weather holds.

Yeah Rob thats when I through you the keys. I could only get a 13.7 out of it. You thought you felt like a dork it was my car and you E.T. it better than me with the bad shift. Experience is what matters. Hey atleast are trap speeds were 108 to 109 stock. Hoping for the same or better with GTO. I have 1500 miles on the GTO compared to 700 on the WS6.
Does any one know how Cecil compares to MIR?

My experience with Cecil vs MIR. I could MPH the same at both but ET was slower at Cecil for some reason. I think the pad is better at MIR.

What I really like about Cecil is the downhil staging lanes :)

I have raced at Cecil once, and the track prep was horrible. I say we do MIR the 19th. It is a test and tune, so it is a little more pricey, but you get tons of runs in!

Track prep sucked as usual. Just like I said before, I can MPH at Cecil but not ET.

I'll hit MIR but can't do it this weekend. Hopefully soon though. Maybe I'll have my drag radials mounted to help.
