Well for one never use Fram filters, They do almost nothing for your engine and are horrible filters. There was a study on the net a while back which had cut open pics of almost every oil filter...cant remember where it is now though.

Anyways, I havn't herd of K&N oil filters, but since oil doesnt need to be speed through the filter, I would go with a good reliable filter like AC Delco. The sutdy recommended them as they were the best at filtration, Iv been using them without any problems also.

Oil Filter Test (http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html)

It doesnt cover the K&N but its a good start.

All I've been using are the K&N Gold Oil Filters on all of my rides. I really can't speak to the quality of the filters, I only assume that they are good. The biggest selling point of the K&N for me is on my other vehicles, the welded 1" nut on the bottom of the filter makes oil changes much easier. I've read good reviews on the Mobil 1 oil filter.

K&N filters are rebadged Mobil-1 filters from what I understand. Both are probably in the "best of" class of oil filters.

They are nice filters. But you can't go wrong with AC Delco :)
