I was just wondering if these tires would fit a GTO's stock rims. They are QUITE a bit wider than the stock 245's. I really like the sleeper look of mounting sticky tires on stock rims.

The specs are here: http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.html

I don't go to the strip unless I have sticky tires. I know some guys like to see how fast it is in street trim but to me that 's like playing baseball without your glove. Sticky tires are required equipment for the sport of drag racing.

Hmm, that's weird. My link always goes to the ET Drag. Click on ET Street to the left for the specs.

I've used the ET streets and they are a great tire, but I doubt they will fit the GTO on stock rims as you can barely fit much wider normal tires.

I may have another pair at the shop to test fit on mine, so I might have an answer this weekend....

I just put a set of 275X60X15 ET Street raidials on my '86 GN. They stick like glue. I only did mild burnouts on them and they didn't even chirp at the track, leaving with 8# of boost at the tree. Simply amazing traction. The down side is the treadlife rating is 0!
A fellow GN owner got 46 drag launches and some around town driving for a total of 2500 miles before they were shot. @ 165.00 each plus shipping you really need a spare set of wheels and a deep pocket.
