I need some help from a knowledgable dealer about what to do with my car. I own a 2003 Nissan Maxima SE w/6spd, which will be payed off this coming June/July. Anyway, although the car will be payed off, I've fell in love with the 2005 GTO. Anyway, I need advice as to what I should do, trade or private sell? Also, sell/trade with or without my mods on? I'm from Florida and from what Kelly Blue Book says, I can get around $15,300 for trade or $18,280 by private selling it. I have mods done to it, such as fstb, rstb, rsb, springs, shocks, 18" rims and tires, headers, exhaust, cai, and udp. I have all the stock parts to bring it back to the normal look, but it's a pain in the arse to do all that work. Anyway, please help in anyway that you can. Thanks, Chris.

I say try and sell it yourself to a performance person. If you try and sell it with the mods on a sentra board or something, you may be able to get a good price on it.

Where in the dealer will take off money for it, To dealers any customization at all lowers the value.

I agree completely with that statement. First try and sell it yourself privately, and then if you can't do that then sell the parts off of the car because a dealer is not going to give you more money for the aftermarket parts.
