I have an 04 a4 and i want to be doing high 11's or very low 12's in the 1/4 mile
but i dont want to effect the driveability of it. My car is completely stock right now.
One of my buddies researched and said the heads that are on the car now dont need to be upgraded to achieve this. What mods would you recommend and how much will each cost? Also I have been talking to a guy that deals with the mathematical equation for power to his engine. He said that you want the torque and the hp to be close to each other because torque will help on the low end and the hp will help you finish strong in the 1/4. His car went 5 rounds at the track today and he ran 10.83-10.84 each of the 5 times which is amazing. This wasnt with a gto. Thanks for the help

The first guy is full of it, yes you CAN get it that fast without upgrading the heads, but the LS1 heads are easily made better despite their effecient flow stock.

No car that fast doesn't loose driveability. Your best bet is to go forced induction with ported heads. This should leave the driveability pretty well as the cam is the stock cam (think of cam as the brains, and heads as the lungs). That should get you where you want to be with bolt ons added if not.
