Hello All:

I have an 04 6M and am interested in upgrading the brakes. I was thinking about getting the 05 brakes (calipers, rotors, pads) and having that installed on my car. But i wasnt sure what if there is something better out there. Also, how would this affect my warranty. I have 17K miles on the car and brakes are warped big time.

Thanks for the input,
~Ant~

You cna upgrade to the 05s but I don't know the cost, they may approach Bear or Brembo which are MUCH better than the 05s, THe 05s are great, but the aftermarket is better.

Do not waste the money on an 05 upgrade. Get the Baer breaks. I think Tbyrne sells them. Just remember to watch out what package you get. I think th 13" works with stock rims, but the 14" you will need at least 18" tires.

I'm only planing on upgrading my pads to HAWK when the stock ones are worn out. A whole new break system is way more than I need...especially BAER...little too pricey for me.

I thought that the 05's had the BAER PBR break system stock?

the 05's brake are better than the 04's but if you are and aggressive driver and you are smoking the factory stuff then get aftermarket! not only are they engineered for what you use it for, but if you need to get replacement parts the availability and accessability is far and away better than the stock stuff!

I wonder if Baer or Wilwood would make a brake caliper with GTO etched in them instead of the brand name???
