I know that B&M is coming out with thier rip shifter but is anyone else close? Also can you use the factory shift know on these shifters? I thought someone said you can't remove the factory knob.

B&M uses tha factory shift knob. The factory one is a press on so you will have to get somone to help pull on it to get it off. The only problem I have seen is that I was looking at a Hurst shift knob and thiers is threaded. One of the other members said he just had a set of threads welded on his. It is up to you.. B)

GMM Ripshift is probably handsdown the best shifter for the GTO. Its run in all the fast Monaro's down under. I have it and love it. Its a bit noisier than stock though. I'm using the stock knob also.
