I have an 05 m6. First trip to the drag strip with under 2000 miles netted a best of 13.05 at 110. Second trip at about 1950 miles netted 12.895 at 109. Temperature on both nights was around 60-68 degrees with low to moderate humidity. My last two trips have netted bests of 13.4 and 13.7 with a 14.2 thrown in the mix and speeds of 102- 106. Temperature has been 78-85 with high humidity. I have no mods on the car.
I had an 02 Z28 and it would run 13.0 to 13.1 all day. I did have a cold air intake on it. FRAM and a lid. In 95-100 degree heat with low humidity it would slow to 13.7 at worst. We were running in the daylight too, versus dark now.
Does this 1 plus second drop for heat seem normal? Is anyone else having the same issue? Is this LS2 exclusive or is it a GTO issue? Has anyone found a way to overcome it?
Thanks

Hotrod magazine had an article where they put a magnuson supercharger on a GTO but were running the same times of some stock 04s. In the next magazine They had several things from magnuson to try and make up for the time loss but never really made it work right with the heat sink. They gave up and just added a little buit of Nos to cool the engine during the run. A fiftey sho tof Nos should make up for it.
