I was going to hold out for a 2006, but decided I didn't want to wait. I bought a 2005 today. The one that I purchased, had the suspension upgraded. It cost me $1800 more. The car was brought in from a dealer in oklahoma. They never mentioned any specifics except that they added polyurethane bushings, bigger shocks, bigger anti-sway bars, and I'm not sure what else. My salesman said that the parts should have been from GM Performance Parts Division. They called it the Sport Suspension package or something like that. Anybody have any idea if these are from GM or aftermarket?

Sounds like an aftermarket deal to me.
I haven't seen anything from GM Performance Parts yet for suspension on the GTO. I could be wrong but I have a feeling you have aftermarket stuff. :)

I found out that they weren't GM performance. All of the parts were made by SLP. They really marked up the prices. They didn't even buy me dinner first.

Yes they did. Think they humped you pretty good on that one. I'm not sure what that kit would cost at SLP but I don't think it would run up to 1800 bucks. Just wish you would have checked in here first and we maybe could have saved you a little money.
Nevertheless, enjoy. :)

Well I just looked up the prices of the suspension stuff at SLP and with what they have and what you have listed I add it up to 800 bucks worth of parts. :(
That is if they included the 260 dollar or so camber kit too, if not, 800-260=540 bucks.
I think they owe you a NICE dinner.

Agreed, but you might have to factor in the labor for installing all this, though i'm not sure what kind of money they charge for the labor but i would say its definetly a factor
