865 deliveries in the month of July. (For reference, they had 897 deliveries in July 2004).

That brings the years total to 7772.

That was with no incentives (as the GTO was excluded from the Extended Employee Discount this month.)

.... and will be excluded still as Employee Pricing is to be extended through Sept. 5th I see.

If I remember last year either August or September was a KILLER month with over 2600 sales (mostly due to a big rebate). Without incentives I doubt this will happen this year. I'm also starting to wonder how many less will actually be made this year. If it's around 12K that means there's around 4300 still out there. At 1K a month (give or take) that would mean all would be sold by the end of November. Coincidentally, just in time for the introduction of the 2006's!!! :)

If I had to guess it doesn't look like the GTO will get any great incentives for the rest of the year. I guess there could be a 1000 rebate or something to that effect after Sept. 5th. Remember that is if the reduction to around 12K units as GM said they would do. (Over 15K units for 2004).

I guess this means 2 things.

1. If you want to get one you better go out and get it.

2. Resale value should be held up on 05's if GM and Pontiac can resist the urge to fire sale the last few thousand after Sept. 5th.

Thanks for the info Steve. :D

Based on those sales numbers it looks like it just wouldn't make sense for GM to offer any incentives or rebates, since they will sell every one they have made.

Well I am gonna try one last time to go and get the '05 by me next weekend. Gonna shot for 8,500 down and sub $500 payments. If I can't work this out then I will give up on the '05 and either wait and order an '06 or Turbo the Monte and wait till this time next year to get another car, after all of the auto show debuts. Hopefully the '05 works out.
