i cant believe this i rele cant......tuesday im driven home from gettn my 05 serviced. im on the belt parkway traffic starts to slow down in front of me so like anyone else you start to slow down....im slowing down then i look in my rear view i see a car coming but theres no way hes slowing down i didnt want to swervie left or right cause i was in the center lane and didnt want to hurt anyone else (going 50 or 60mph) then BBAAMMMNNNNN.....he friggen rear ended me....i move to the shoulder on the left he pulls to the right, hes still rolling i yell ''STOP YOUR F***N cCAR'' he drives off....in my rear view i se a cop car i throw my car in park run down the shoulder to the police car and yell i just got hit and the guy took off...he was in a white pontiac four door (yes a pontiac)....we drive after him the pull the guy out at gun point....i found out he was driven under the influence of drugs, had a suspended license, and left the scene of an accident...so hes doin some time....this was the worst day of my life i cant believe this sh*t...i have to look at my goat every day....man it sucks....well now this is my excuse to mod....so hopefully it will turn out better then before cause i will be doing all of the repairs and mods with my boss...my boss tells me im goin to be glad that this happened so thats a good thing

Man that does suck.. I'm sry to hear that about your new car. But hey, if this is what you needed to make it faster, then so be it. Let the modding begin! :friday:

It hurts the heart to hear something like that happen to anyone but especially a goat owner :jumpon: I'm assuming that from the way you ran down to get the cop that you're ok. And good luck on your repair/ mods

You just lived one of my "nightmares" in driving. Glad you are OK. Hopefully your insurance will set you up right and get you back on the road.

I'll suggest since your taillights are probably broken that maybe you could get the new 2006 blacked out taillights/lenses in place of the stock ones and maybe even insurance would pay for it???

Have it all checked out, EVERYTHING. Even electronic stuff. Good luck and we are VERY sorry it happened to you. I hate reading these stories as they seem to pop up more and more.

Try to make the best of it, I can imagine it must be hard. Feel free to vent to blow off some steam. :)

The worst thing about driving my new goat is that I am so paranoid about some dumba$$ like that damaging my car. I feel for you man. Hope some good can come out of it for you.

Indeed that has to be a nightmare come true. This is biggest factor that makes me prefer a GTO over a vette. There's many scenarios where there's nothing you can do except get hit..

hey guys thanx alot....this rele sucks its driven me crazy....so do u guys have any suggestions on some exterior parts...like the 06 tail lights im goin to need new tail lights anyone no where i could pick those up and also im thinkn of a new wing i saw the duckbill one on gravana i was thinkn about that but id like to see some others....i also want a good exhaust system anyone rec. a good system for the money w/ headers...thanx guys for helpn me get through this it rele sucks i love this car

the trunk lid and both rear tail lights , bumper all rear damage the quaters are fine though. im actually looking at the arrowhead body kit with the side exhaust. if u guys have any suggestions on anything just let me no. and yea im rather it happened in the goat then a 81 pinto who knows what would of happened if i got hit in that. i deff. wouldnt be around to tell the story....hopefully we will get working on it soon its driven me ccrraazzzyyy !!

Good time to do a rear spoiler "delete". Maybe the idiot's insurance company will have to buy one that you can "sell" back to the dealer!

At least the idiot did not hurt no one and a cop was there to get him. As for the spoiler delete...I really think it looks kind of goofy....

I can almost feel your pain. I have had guys come up on me a few times like that. Thank GOD then stopped in time. It is usually the drunk uninsured a****** who nails you....
