Got my Spec stage 2 from Tbyrne and put it in this past weekend.
Readers Digest Version....
The slave cylinder on my car started leaking at get this 39,450 miles so I had to pull the tranny out to put a new clutch actuator in. ( that's what the general calls it so they can charge you close to 300 for it)
The General didn't want to hear anything of a warranty repair. I even tried the good faith thing on my dealer but they saw all the mods I have and pretty much laughed in my face.
Well got to replace the clutch disk it has brake fluid contamination on it so what the heck I put the Spec Stage 2 in it.
I got it tore down and started taking the pressure plate bolts out and all but two were loose the throw out bearing face was fried as was the pressure plate diaphragm spring fingers from the uneven torque. It had been slipping but not enough for me to notice it.
I think the general needs to pay for it but the SM at the dealer I got the car from didn't want to hear it at all.
Oh Well, Beware the loose pressure plate guys and gals.
I'm really pleased with the performance of the new clutch so far. I haven't had a chance to really test it out as the instructions require you to drive in normal traffic conditions for at least 400 miles before starting to abuse it.
The stage 2 has a Kevlar facing on it.
Tbyrne is a great place to get upgrades folks. They helped me decide which one to go with the price was cheaper than on the spec web site and the shiping was lightining fast.
Tbyrne if you read this post Thanks for all the help.
