Congrats! I think silver will also be my pick. Auto or stick?
I see you have a one car garage, what's going to sit outside?

Actually car critics have began praising the GTO more now then ever. In the past few months car mags have been comparing the new Mustang GT, new Charger and the 05 GTO. The GTO comes up on top everytime. Except I read the Charger did do a better job in cornering which suprised the tester and myself since it weighs the most out of the three. But every magazine I read that has the GTO in it being tested are very impressed by the beast. Even the Aussie web car sites praise the GTO and its twin, the Holden Monaro. If the Monaro is Australia's #1 sports car for years, then the GTO in America is not that far off the mark. Basically in almost every review of both cars the tester loves the car and says it is very well made and is a great value at around $30k US. I have even read one article where the tester was glad it was Australian made. Probably built better then if it was made in a US plant. And the Australian designed interior looks nothing like anything else GM in the States. I planning on buying an 05 at the end of the year (trying to get a deal). Anyone know where there is a quicksilver with red leather and of course a 6 speed anywhere in or around Houston Texas? Might just settle on black, but black is hot in Texas.

I thought I read a Car and Driver or Motortrend comparison btw the Mustang and GTO and the Mustang was #1 overall. The GTO had it beat in all of the performance categories, but they did not like the way the 6 speed shifted and they definitely didn't like the bland styling. However, they did like the car.
I just bought the bright blue one with 6spd. It died after my first true drive and has been in the shop for 3+wks. It was a computer problem and a GTO specialist engineer is trying to help fix it. In a few more days I will be applying for the Lemon Law to make GM buy it back.
I would like to just get a different GTO, but GM won't deal. I am pissed. First brand new car, I jumped over from Dodge to Pontiac, and this is what I get. GM's economic woes will not be helped by my experiences so far.

Apparently, this has happened to 16 other 2005 GTO's so far.

Lemon laws only usual apply if the same probably occurs 3 times..not duration of time its spent working on the problem.
