I finally found what I wanted for my Goat to replace that UGLY 6.0 emblem on the deck lid. I've been looking for a 2.5 emblem but couldn't find one. Walking through the mall today I spotted a Nissan Sentra with a 1.8 S emblem. Went immediately to my local junkyard and found one.

How 'bout a motorcycle emblem, ya no, "1200 CC's". That would look sweet displayed proudly. Seeing how people would be looking at that with some intensity, they would probably not even notice those nasty chrome tips. :D

Some of you may recall that I LOVE stealth.

When I got home from 'Nam in 1970, I bought a new Plymouth GTX. 440-4bbl 375HP. I went to a local salvage yard and found a Plymouth Belvedere grille to replace the "honeycomb" grille in the GTX. I took the big GTX chrome emblems off the rear fender swells and removed the exhaust tips, cutting the left tailpipe short in front of the rear bumper. The crowning detail was putting a 318 emblem on the front fender behind the headlights. Only details I didn't mess with were the fake hood "vents" (I did remove the 440 emblems), and the F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas tires. Very sharp looking Belvedere, Bright Blue Metallic, white vinyl top and white vinyl interior. Had many good years of fun with the old girl. I sold her in 1975 when unleaded gas was filling all the premium gas station tanks and she just would NOT run on 87 octane. That hurt me more than any car I've ever sold.

The 1.8 S on the Goat is really more a joke than stealth, but there are more people who will believe it than won't. :hysterical:
