I noticed when I moved the car into the shop I heard a poping noise like it was comeing from the inner fender on the drivers side. after checking it out with the wheels straight I can turn to the left a little and back and get a binding poping like noise from the top of the one strut. anyone have this problem ? I also checked with a Pontiac dealer yesterday a 100 mi. away to see if they had a bulliten on anything like this, they said no.

I noticed this also... For me its when I back out of the driveway, it makes a popping sound. Only when the car is cold though. After its warmed up it doesnt seem to make the popping sound.

Had a strut noise for months. It was intermittent. The other day had the car up on up on stands rotating tires. I was turning wheels lock to lock when a stone shot out of the shock tower like a bullet. No more noise. A small stone was lodged between the strut and the tower. I hate tar and chip roads.
