Does anyone else have the 18" wheel option on their GTO? If so, how are you cleaning the inside of the wheel? I find it difficult to get my hand in there.

It took me nearly as long to wash the wheels as it did to wash and dry the rest of the car.

It's just my way of giving back to my baby after all of the pleasure she has, and will, give to me. ;)

You can try a cheap toilet scrubber, the ones with the foam rubber ball on the end. Just stick it in your car wash bucket full of soapy water. It will conform around the brake caliper. I pull my wheels off and give them a good scrub and wax ever so often, it makes it alot easier to get the brake dust off when you don't have time to pull the wheels.

If you can buy some Purple Power If you can find it
one of the best degreasers I have ever seen
My buddy used to use it when he ran out of degreaser at his detail shop
Works great when You want to shampoo your carpet.
The cheap toilet brush cleaner works too

Yes, it can be difficult--lots of skinned knuckles etc. 19" rims are very popular in Australia, they are standard on HSV GTOs, where big brakes can also be optioned with 362mm rotors & 6 piston Calipers, & yes--they are very difficult to keep clean! On the other hand, don't they look good when they are?!
Cheers Pickles.

Only the early V6 monaros were fitted with 17s in Aus. So we all have 18s as standard- I can never understand why you guys never got them as standard as well- they look heaps better. Some guys fit the 19" HSV wheels. But, back to your question!!- Yeah, not a pleasant job. You should be able to get to all points of the inside rim, by rotating the wheel- but be prepared for lots of skinned knuckles etc. to do them properly (inside of spokes etc) takes as long as washing the car!
Cheers, Pickles.

It actually takes me a little longer to give the wheels a good cleaning than it does to wash the rest of the car. I really hate having to rotate the wheels to get to everything I want to wash. I have stopped being so anal about the cleaning of my wheels. Don't get me wrong, I still like the wheels clean enough to eat from, but I don't need this level of cleaning each time I wash the car. :D
