Has anyone else bought one of the gmp replicas ?They kick butt. its so realistic the steering wheel turns the front wheels. trunk opens to show theres no space in there just like the real gto. It car even has upholstery. The pedals and gauges look awesome. I got the blk one to match my car and it surprised me that it was "metalic" blk even.even the underside is greatly detailed.
What has anyone else thought of these?

I like mine. I took it out once, looked at it, & put it back into the box. I also have a 2004 from a different company & I look at it more often (it has a plastic window).

yeah it does say gto where it should say pontiac. oh well its still pretty nice .

However its made in CHINA!!!!!! WTF! Not to get on a tangent here but can we make anything here in the U.S. . Its an $80 model. im sure the chinease made them for about $5 . god forbid it would cost $10 to make them here. Im getting really tired of the foreign stuff. The gto is the closest thing ive ever owned to a foreign car and I almost didnt buy it but my logic was at least it austrailian and they have always been true allies to the country.

Some day when all the jobs have gone overseas and we have mass unemployment and everyone wonders why Ill say its because all you dumbasses spent money you didnt have(just like the government) on foreign products.Try to buy an american made tv, camera, even clothing. We still make the best clothing but because companies want to make maximuim dollars for their corperation and share holders they will look to chinease labor which will work for what their government tells them they will work for. So a $250 northface jacket probably costs (im guessing here) less than 20% of that to make here they opt to go to china for 15%.also remember China has unfair trade policies in which they fix thier money at an trade amount for U.S. currency and regardless of what happens in the world market thier money stays the same day to day month to month further increaseing the trade deficit.

Heres a bit of info about the trade deficit for you by the way . It does indeed affect you directly and could have dire consiquences. This deficit comes in the form of U.S. bonds and U.S. properties. if a country such as japan or china was to force the bonds (funny that bonds are also what holds a slave to thier station in life) the prime rate would skyrocket and could collapse or at the very least cripple our buy it now pay for it later socitity. Think about a 20% prime rate no one could afford a home all the people with adjustable rate mortgages would be unable to come close to paying for thier homes.Just think of those people who have interest only loans. I have read acticles about how that if the prime rate went up to over 8% it would cripple the housing market putting an end to the balloon market that U.S. is at this time.

I look to buy american product as often as possible .which becomes more and more difficult. To all those who say all we are losing is the bottom rung jobs such as manufacturing jobs remeber there is no top of a pyramid without a base .without manurfacturers our taxes will go up and unemployment goes up and theres less U.S. buying power bringing prices up.

Dont even get me started on the slow monoplization of retailers and banks in this country and the problems these things bring to us here.

I really should have started a new thread for this but I got myslf so wound up I couldnt stop perhaps Ill post it to a new thread later .What do you think?
I hope the best days of the U.S. are not behind us . I truely hope I am 180' wrong on all of this.

I have two, midnight blue and black and the 2004 model in Silver. The 05s are sharp! (tho the box shows a pic of the LS1, not the LS2) I wish they made one in my color. Cyclone grey with 6-speed was the 2nd most popular version of the 05 after black. 714 made.
