Anyone here have an 06 yet?

I am thinking of making an 06 only forum, but I am not sure it is different enought to warrant it.

You could turn the 2005 specific into an 05/06 specific.

We could also have an 04 specific too.

Just thoughts. If there are 06 owners out there I'm sure they would feel more welcome if there was an 06 specific or they saw they were included in the 05/06 specific. :)

My thought exactly. The 05/06's have different engines, computers, and some other things. Although, maybe we should have an '06 specific section. They have an extra 12-volt socket in the dash. :p

I thought '05 and '06 were exactly the same as far as powertrain. I'm I wrong?

My preference would be for an 05/06 site together if there is no know differences. Would make comunication wider. Jason

You should get the smokers kit and then you too can have the extra outlet closer to the windsheild.

I don't mind the 05/06 forum, the cars are the same basically. More shared knowledge for all.

06 only would be good. 06s have their own issues...but i'm not sure about how many other 06 owners are on here besides me. at least an 05/06 board though

Yes, I have an 06 Goat, PBM/BLK/18/6M but I haven't driven it yet. I won't get her until the 15 of November.
I think that the 05 and 06 cars are pretty much the same, but I have only driven the 05, so I am only speculating. So my vote is to not have an 06 specific site, but keep 'em togther with the 05's.

I would like an 05/06 forum. I like seeing data on everyone else's rides, but I would really like to have specific data that will help me improve my 06.

You're not alone, I too have an 06.

The 06 has a tremec 6 speed and a dana rear end. The rear was changed for strenth because the australian dif was only for the 5.3 engine used there. the 06 ls2 engine has 58x crankshaft senser ring rather than 24x and a different compuper setup to go with it.

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but I noticed the above listed signature of sorts. With headers and an aftermarket cam, I would expect to see more than 400 rwhp without the nitrous. Add the 100 Hp dry shot of nitrous, and I would expect to see more in terms of horsepower. As an example, there is a guy not too far from me who had an '06 GTO with headers and such. He also had a little funny gas going, and his goat was making 495 rwhp and 565 rwtq.

Has your car been appropriately tuned for the modifications that have been made? Also, are you actually running NOS, or some other nitrous system? If you are running NOS, redjudge, why did you choose this system over the others that are available for our cars?

bought my 06 goat last week. i love it. it peels the doors off my 03 mustang gt. i also got it for 27,800 with only 30 miles on it. i think i got a good price. and i got it from a dealer so everything is taken care of for a while. this kind of hp shouldnt be available below 30k lol its just rediculous.

Yes I agree though I did pay a little more, I did get the extended warranty of 7years or 75,000.00 just to be safe. The car is fast as hell and love it. I have had to take it in for the paint pboblem that seems lot's of other people got and they fixed it very good. I also just took it in for a noise up front though strut was gone but they found a rock stuck in the top of the strut
