The last Monaro will be going up for auction and has been given special treatment including a new color "Torque". I'm in love. :D

I'm sure many here wouldn't be caught dead in this color, but it is VERY close to Pontiac's Orbit Orange of 1970. If I was a RICH oil tycoon, I would snag this ride. Or better yet pay for my GTO to be painted "Torque".

The "last" Monaro ended up selling for AU$187,000 which is about 3 times more than retail.

The new owner plans to put the car in a giant sandwich bag for safe keeping (what a waste :() but it's sure to appreciate in price....being one-of-a-kind ;)

True, but you don't spend 3x the MSRP of a vehicle and not have some other super car to drive around on for kicks. I feel bad for him when they release the new Monaro, and the value of that one suddenly drops.

If Torque was an available option when I purchased my GTO, I have seriously considered it over Phantom Black Metallic. It surely is a standout color.

Torque was a nice colour, pity it wasnt an optional colour :(

I've seen a VL Commodore (86-88) been resprayed in the "Mangenta" colour, and it sure makes an impression :D

I like that Torque color, it looks very close to Orbit Orange. Can you say GTO Judge! :D
I'm not a fan of the black hood scoops though.
