By the way if you like a good upper body workout just rotate the tires on your Goat.

I've never rotated tires that want to stick to the hub as much as my GTO. It's like wrestling an angry Gator to get them off.

Also I've got some nasty tire rub with my stock 17 KDWS in the front. Bear in mind I keep my tire pressures at 33 to 35 psi religiously too. I check them once a week and they are always in that range. The left front had major rub off the inside tire. The sleeve of the strut had worn through the paint and started a nice polishing of the metal below. It wasn't quite as bad on the passenger side front. Just a little wear on the strut. If anyone is thinking of going higher than a 245 in front I think you are in for BIG tire rub without some sort of spacer. I can see why the 18 inchers GM only offers 235's.

Lastly my left rear had some major cupping going on. The inside of the tread is worn below the treadlife indicators where there is still lots of tread left on the outer sides. Remember I keep the pressures between 33 and 35, never over. The other side did not show this wear???

Looks like it's time for new tires in about 2 or 3 months.

So like I said, if you want a serious upper body workout just wrestle the wheels a while. My forearms feel like solid steel billet afterwards. ;)

Yeah, I do my own too. And I'll switch out the snows with the summer sets on my SSE twice a year.

Hey Orbit, hows the wear on the inside of your front tires? I hear there maybe a problem with front tires and struts, making to much contact, causing some damage. Haven't had the chance to check mine, but then again I only have 5580miles on it....Anybody else seeing weird wear or tear???? On 17 inch wheels or 18 inch??

From my above post

I had a front end alignment at 10,000 miles too. It's still doing it. I'll check my tires and see how they look. I've put about 500 miles on since the rotation.

I figure eventually the tires will basically grind the strut down so they don't rub anymore at this rate.
