Looking for a wired interface vs fm modulator for factory radio.. Anyone been there? Cars only 3 days old.. Checkbook is not ready for much more..

let me tell you what i know on ipod interface since im a apple fanatic. there is no direct interface for factory radios like the GTO's unless it came with the cable port for it like the chevy hhr's, if you want the ipod connected directly try a alpine head unit. FM module i recommend is monster ipod connection, its about 80 bucks expensive i know but it recharges the ipod while plugged in, has 8 dead frequencies to choose from and change if that station is being used in some city, and its more powerful then the belkin. do not buy the belkin model! its not worth the money

Look into the Audi IPod interface wire kit.

Audi uses the same connectors as the GTO. I don't know how well they will communicate though. The kit costsd about $175 at retail.

I agree that the belking sucks. I just bought a Macally and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it works for a FM module. It was about 55 bucks and it fits in the cupholder. Very nice. I highly recommend it.

On the www.ls1gto.com (http://www.ls1gto.com) they have a kit that you have to hard wire. The kit also has out puts for add on amps and speakers, I just installed mine it sounds awesome.

I have a Pioneer Avic D-2 Navigation system in mine, which has an iPod interface that is horrible in use. Good thing I have XM!
