I don't think so...only you can tell if it is worth the money paid. ;)

Dude , dont let that in your head. Everybody goes through that after a major purchase...

It is more true than anything else that only you can ultimately decide if it is worth it or not. I have found that the bottom line price does change a little bit depending on where you live. I paid 29,980 for my Blk/BLk 6MT after 1500 in rebates and 1200 for my companies GM supplier discount. taxes brought that back up to 31k. In NYC that isn't really too bad; the automatics are going for 32-35k after rebates and taxes are calculated (our tax is 8.3%).

For me whether or not it will be worth it will be decided after this winter comes and goes, if it makes it through, than yeah, its worth it, especially since I am comming from a ford explorer to a GTO.

It's a good deal, a couple grand off for a new car is never bad.

Sounds like you did okay to me.

And if you're one of those people that likes to snicker at the misfortunes of others then check this out: I had my new GTO for two weeks and all the sudden GM announces their "Employee Discount for Everyone" program. Yeah, it sucked...

But on the upside it's been a whole year and I'm just happy to have the car, even though I don't get to drive it too much. It's been 13 months and the thing's only got 2800 miles on it...the downside to having a company car and having to travel a lot.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impresion that the GTO was one of GM's vehicles that was not part of the Employee Discount for Everyone program.

I always swore I would not buy brand new(always slightly used) and take the big hit when i drove off the lot. But when I saw the Impulse Blue w/SAP, I had to have it and I've been grinin ever since.

The GTO was included for awhile, then removed from the list.

I bought my '05 in June, 2005, and paid the Employee Discount Price for it.

Sounds like a sweet deal. I did get $3,000 + $750 (to help those in the area impacted by Hurricane Katrina) off the list price. So I am not complaining. I am very happy with my purchase and feel that the GTO is well worth the money. :D

You guys get the the GTO very cheap over there, so whatever you paid, it's good value! What else can you buy that gets anywhere near it for build quality & performance. And despite what you may read, it'll be A VERY LONG TIME before another GTO hits the market, if ever, which makes your car even better value! Buy one now, while you can.
Cheers, Pickles.

I paid 30,200 for mine then I used my gm card to knock anouther 2500 off. They guy at the dealership was shocked I could use all my gm card money . I have the old plan which is heaps better than the new plan ;) . 500 a year for up to 7 yrs (3500 max) and no limitation of amount to any vehicle.I do pay an annual fee though $35. The new card lets you get more money in 1 year I think 1000 but limits the max amount ( i forget what it was . im thinking 2500) plus they limit you on how much you can use towards a specific vehicle. most of the time they only let you use 1000 unless your buying an expesive car then its like 1500-2000.
