I am looking at the remaining 05s out there and have come across one 05 that sounds good at a decent price (one of the few remaining manual transmission models). However, it has 272 miles on it. How much (if any) of a concern should this be?

I am a little bit gun shy because I purchased my last sports car almost 19 years ago -- a 1987 Buick Grand National (I sold in 1990, sigh...). It had >50 miles when I purchased it, and it was a fun but troublesome car, and my theory was whoever had driven it those first 50 miles had really driven it very hard.....

Thanks!

Well if you can, find out if it was ever titled, if so it could just be someone bought it and then changed their mind, if not then it is probably a dealer demo and has been ragged out.

The first post in the following thread gives a good example of why I would never buy a new car with any appreciable miles on it, especially one with a manual tranny:

My Goat had 18 miles on it when I bought it, and I wasn't all that happy with that many.

I ordered the MX-5, so I got it right off the truck.....only 5 miles on the odometer.
