Just thought some of you might like a look at some pics of Holden's all new Calais-V.

Calais V (V6)
Engine: 3.6-litre V6, 195kW, 340Nm
Transmission: five-speed automatic

Calais V (V8)
Engine: 6.0-litre V8, 270kW, 530Nm
Transmission: six-speed automatic

Might be more appropriate to post a picture of the SS version since that is the more likely candidate to spawn the Monaro / GTO.

I just noticed that you posted a pic of the SS in a separate thread.

If only the unions would let the US import more, Imagine what ford could do with the Falcon up here, or the Ute, I've been looking for a car just like the Ute for a long time now, I don't want a station wagon or a truck.

You guys seen the FPV F6 Typhoon and Tornado?

I'm a Holden fan myself, but you gotta hand it to Ford on this one, it's a good little piece of work ;)

270kW at 5250 rpm

550Nm on tap from just 2000 rpm and remaining constant all the way through to 4250 rpm

80% of its maximum torque at 1500 rpm and over 98% at 1750 rpm

And the latter of the 2 is a ute :D

I've seen them, but they arn't sold up here. IF you take a look at what ford Offers us you'd just hang your head in shame. Its pathetic, cars you would think were offered by Kia or Hyundai, not the inventor of the modern assembly line.

You forgot Daewoo. Oh wait, that's GM. Nevermind.

;) Couldn't resist.

Lol, True but Gm only sells a daewoo as a low end chevy, for under 10 grand. The stuff Ford sells for 20-30K is pathetic compared to the Gm cars. I don't mean in sheer quality, but performance and general appeal.

If I looked at Ford ANYWHERE I'd hang my head in shame lol

Just the way things is over here.

I think we still get Daewoo over here....not sure I dont pay much attention t the small car market. I think the Holden Viva is a re-badged Daewoo, not sure on that Either way it's nothing special lol (I've seen the Chevy Matiz....not the greatest car to put a badge from a world renowned performance motor company :D

HSV is doing their first 4-cyl car in a version of the Astra VXR, I think they are looking of get 175kw at the flywheel.
