I know the GTO is "based on" a Holden Monaro, but what does that mean? Is all the sheet metal Monaro, or did Pontiac Styling do some pieces? What about the basic shape, specifically the profile? Is it Monaro? I'm not talking about the front and rear fascias; I know those are Pontiac. Thanks. Stupid questions, perhaps, but I'm new to this.

It IS a Holden Monaro. Period. I don't know ALL the details, but I suspect "General Motors" had very little to do, if any, with it's styling.

OK, I just read through the "Attention Monaro/GTO owners" thread", complete with pictures, and now feel really stupid. Obviously the same car. Sorry.:o

Basically just changed a few little things, like the front bumper, emblems, exhaust, and gas tank location.
