: Normal?

Today, on my way home from work, I was working on my short shifting a bit and found that even without speed shifting (power shifting), my goat will rip fourth gear, thereby issuing a very noticeable bark. Is this normal? I know that I am not quite stock, but I was quite suprised. Nothing like a big bark, hooking, and then takeoff.

Yep, it's normal. I discovered that I could bark 4th gear in mine, during the test drive, the day I bought it. The salesman that was with me was like "****". lol.

That is too funny...<my mental image> Two goats on the dealership lot identical to one another except for color. Mechanic58 decides to test one. Ragging the crap out of the car, powershifting on every occasion possible, putting 500 miles on the car. Upon returning to the dealership, Mechanic58 gets out of the car with a SEG on his face. The salesman knows that a car is going to be sold. Mechanic58 decides he wants the other GTO that he did not test drive. </end my mental image>

I knew I can grab 4th gear when I power shift, I had not ever grabbed 4th so strongly with a regular shift. :D

lol...I already knew I was going to buy the car. I called the dealership before I even went down there to tell them I was going to buy the car and to have it ready...and that I did not intend to spend more than 30 mins at the dealship. lol. I really wasn't even intent on taking a test drive, but the salesman that greeted me insisted. They already had the car pulled up front and detailed when I got there. Needless to say, I scared the living hell out of the poor sales guy that went with me on the test drive. We hit 135 in a 35 zone about 3 blocks up from the dealership. He didn't make a peep. I was like "Well, seems to have ok power" LMFAO!!!
