Yes, South Australian news bulletins refer to the loading and saling of the first shipment. TV News vision showed the Holden's MD drivin the first one onto the ship.

I seriously love this site. I wonder if any other legendary car has a following like this. We analyze things on a daily basis like why the time on the clock on the showcar said the time it did, analyze shipping routes, trademark legality, tire/wheel sizes and dimensions broken down to the millimeter, etc etc etc. People can say what they want, but we GTO people sure are educated. :D

I told you already that we were pretty pathetic...

Pathetic is such a harsh word.

Dedicated maybe, obsessed probably, nuts possibly.

You know the more I think about - your right - pathetic is the proper word.

Now how do we channel our energies once the cars arrive? It's time to start setting up clubs for the new and improved "GTO's". Of course we will need some type of support group for those significant others who have lived with our obsession, especially once we start to play with our new toys.

Pf course we should also open our clubs to the retro crowd which will be kicking themselves for not buying a new GTO.

Haha, that's what I thought at first too. Obsessed and dedicated. But the more I think about it, taking a step back, you'll all see it as pathetic. No? I can assume it.

I know my wife has asked me if there was a support group for her. She has been a real trooper with my obsessing.

What other car has this kind of "cult" following? It hasn't been in production in 30 years and people are :dribble: for it's return!!

I'm eager to see what's gonna happen when the car finally gets here!
