I was wondering if someone could let me know something.

I went to a Pontiac dealer, they had 4 GTO's. Left over 06's. I wanted to drive the orange one. First the battery was dead. They got it started. Then the AC was blowing warm air. The car had 9 miles on it. Then the brake pedal was going almost all the way to the floor before the car stopped. Can someone please suade me to buy thisa car because right now it seems like it is junk.

Just a thought here...that car has probably been sitting for a YEAR. The problems you describe are not out of the ordinary for a vehicle that has been sitting without being used.

So drive one of the other ones for now, just so you can see what the car is like.
If you do decide to buy it you should make one thing part of the purchase agreement.
Check the Build date (on the drivers door sticker) if it's after 2/06 tell them you want a set of Pedders struts installed in it before you pick up the car. There have been some issues with the shipping of them damaging the front struts. If it's before that date it shouldn't be an issue.

Batteries go dead after they sit for a while
Brakes get crappy too, after it is driven for a few miles it goes away.
The AC needs to have the AC button pushed in order to work, if it was pushed and the AC light was on, then they need to fix it (Ussually simple for them)

Never a good thing for a car to sit for awhile it needs to be driven, give it another chance, you know what I mean after few you let the the big dog run!

If the car has not been driven for an extended period, I would be more concerned with the seals than with things as simple as a battery, or even struts. However, I would certainly hope that the dealership in question has enough foresight to crank the car on a semi-regular basis so as not to have seal leaks, and subsequently warranty work in the future.

All 4 of their gto's just sat way too long. I'm not buying any of them. The other one i tried was stalling out and wouldnt run. It is a disgrace.

Find yourself another dealer who takes better care of the cars on their lot. Make it a first question before you even test drive it. Don't let one lazy dealer sour your opinion on the GTO. Where are you located at, maybe we can find a Pontiac dealer close to you that a member could recommend?

If the dealership is maintaining their cars like that, just think what kind of service you might receive. Try someone else.
