So what this would imply is that one could pick up a bottom of the line Vette for ~$37K? I could live with that. ;)

P.S. I actually prefer the interior of the GTO.

Ya know, I've only ever known ONE person in my entire life, that owned a Corvette and actually DROVE IT like it was intended to be driven. ONE. And that's all I'm going to say about that. lol.

Supposedly there is a guy in these parts who owns a Vette and drives it the way it was meant to be driven. The day I met him, he was stopping by Thunder Racing to check on the work that was being done on his Vette. The conversation vent in the direction of driving well over 100 MPH. When I inquired where this kind of driving could b done, I was told by the Vette owner that he would do this on Industriplex, which is a road with a couple of nice turns that a normal car would go through at 45 MPH. I thought this was an interesting response to my question. You really have to know the area to fully appreciate this conversation.

Because the Vette had been in the shop multiple times for various upgrades, the owner went out and bought another Vette to serve as a daily driver. It must be nice.

I would actually consider buying another GTO for a daily driver, if I could find an A4 Barbados Blue '04 for a reasonable price.

That's how Mark got his 2004 Corvette. I believe the MSRP was $44,595, but the rebate knocked off $7,000 from that price.
