It is time for me to have the goat inspected. When I had the Kooks long tube headers installed, I was a good citizen and went with the catted midpipes. However, because the passenger-side rear O2 sensor caused an error code to be thrown, I had them turned off. I don't think that this will be a problem when the OBDII connection is made, and subsequently checked. Can anyone confirm that this will not raise a red flag and cause the goat to fail the inspection?

Well, I have my answer to my original question regarding turning off the rear O2 sensors, relative to vehicle inspections here in Louisiana. The answer is that my car passed without a problem.

As it turns out, the guy who runs the inspection place has a shop next to it where he does custom interiors. He took me in there and showed me some of his current projects. I have to say that I was impressed. He definitely knows his stuff and is very good at it.

The whole reason for this guy showing me his work is because he could not believe how nice the GTO's interior is. He kept going on and on about the subtle stitching and the quality of the interior. He commented that this weren't no cheap plastic crap.

Then we moved to the exterior of the car. Apparently they had not yet had a GTO come through their inspection shop. He liked the way the GTO looked on the exterior as much as he did the interior. The funny thing is that he really liked the SAP grills.

As I was paying for my inspection sticker, I heard the guy give the goat a little rev. By the time I got home, I had to wipe all of the drool off the car. I guess it is a good thing that I waxed it yesterday. ;)

I've lived all over the country, in various states, INCLUDING California. I have never respected ANY "inspection" laws. lol. There's always a way around that sh*t. I've always found it. ;-)

Glad your car passed though.

Yeah me too...I just did not know what to expect, not knowing what they can see with there OBDII/computer connection. What pis...umm...upsets me is the fact that I paid extra for the Kooks catted midpipes and I could have gotten aways with offroad mods and had a couple extra ponies. Let's see...spend less money and get slightly better performance...or pay more money and add some restriction to my exhaust. I know what makes sense now, but is that what I did? Nooooo...I had to be Mr. Good Citizen.
