They say it might be ready by this weekend. I'm soo excited I can't sleep without dreaming of the extra HP she's gonna have! Getting the LS2 stroker pak, X-1 cam and stage II heads, as well as LS7 clutch, 160 t-stat, Pedders "Strip II" suspension, GMM shifter and Hotchkis sway bars.

cool, I like MTI. I was real happy with the communication while Jayson was tuning my car.

When all is said and done, I hope that you know we expect a full report that provides your first impression (second impression if necessary) and summary of supporting performance numbers. I am so jealous... ;)

It won't be ready this weekend. The swaybars are on back-order. Hopefully, next week. Dayum!

Sorry to read that you are going to have to wait a little longer, but I have heard that good things come to those who wait.

Picked the the goat up from MTI today. Here are my thoughts so far:

I know one day I'll get used to the new level of power, but for now........O.M.G.! A beast has been unleashed! I haven't really gotten into her deep yet (maybe half-throttle), and already I would have hung with, or walked her old performance capabilities (a slight exaggeration, but you feel me). Is this what you folks with 500+ hp deal with all the time? And the lope is SICK! More than I was expecting, and something I'll definitely have to get used to. I have to give her a little throttle when starting it up, hopefully the CPU will adjust as the miles go by. I was advised to run 20w50 synthetic, once the 4000mi break-in is complete, and to use NGK TR6 plugs too. All in all, couldn't be happier!

Dyno sheet coming soon.

A very conservative tune, with more to be had by adding F.A.S.T. intake, ported TB and a cat-back. Maybe their stage IIR heads too.

Very cool to read that you are pleased with the added performance. I do have a question though. Is a 4,000 mile break-in really required? I do not recall the exact break-in for the stock configuration as defined in the owner's manual, but that too seemed a bit overexaggerated. I think that I stayed out of things for about 1,000 miles when I first purchased my goat. I guess what I am trying to imply is that I am not sure that I could wait 4,000 miles before getting on it.

P.S. I did look at the dyno sheet...SWEET! :D

I think "break-in" was the wrong choice of words. I'm to run Castrol non-synthetic during that time. The clutch is gonna need about 500mi of city driving to break in though. The Pedders stuff is working good, keeping the rear's from rubbing. I might be able to go from the 255's to 275's in back.

Check this clip out!

Sweet, glad you're happy.

Not sure if you should need to give it gas when starting up.
You may want to check and see if they drilled a hole in your throttle body plate. Many LSXs with an aftermarket cam require this.
Mine would sound like it was choking at startup until I took opened the plate up just a bit (04s are adjustable).

The rings wear small groves into the cylinder walls during the break in period. Full synthetic oil will provide too high efficiency of lubrication for the rings to seat as fast. This is why you hear a few (New) Goat owners that ran full synthetic oil say that their engine didn't really start making MAX power until around 5-6K miles. I prefer to use normal petroleum based 10-40W oil for the first 1000 miles. I change oil on a new engine at 20 minutes, 200 miles & 1000 miles, then run full synthetic oil with changes ever 3K after that.

Congrads on the new engine. That's Awesome!!! I hope to join the stroker motor club next month.
