NASA43 10-27-2003, 10:35 AM Wow! Great pictures. I especially like the red one that the older gent is sitting in!
Davbo 10-27-2003, 10:47 AM SWEET!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the link. :D :D :D :D
Hey, I think Peter has his hand on my blue one.....
Tails 10-27-2003, 11:04 AM Excellent post. Also that cinches the Ship Name. It clearly reads CHI JIN!!!
:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:
edge929 10-27-2003, 05:09 PM Finally, a REAL picture of the Impulse Blue car. Great pics!
Decromin 10-27-2003, 05:15 PM Looks like they all ship without the rear spoiler attached ...
NASA43 10-27-2003, 06:32 PM Dang, that shows how observant I am. I didn't even notice that. Maybe we can get them to leave it off!
Tails 10-27-2003, 06:36 PM Geez I didn't notice either. (**** Old age) They are probably dealer installed so check with them. I have decided to keep mine but it would be good to know if it is uninstallable.
:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:
impulsive 10-27-2003, 06:55 PM The spoiler holes are already in place, look at the small white strips of tape where it will mount. They have to make it idiot proof. Too bad cause I would rather have no spoiler.
edsmaroonz 10-27-2003, 08:35 PM great pics/thanx

Theres a REAL picture of me launching one in the photo forum hehe
Commissar 10-27-2003, 08:48 PM If you look closely these pictures do confirm the G-Force T/A KDWS tires. IMO Great tires for holding, but terrible tires for balancing.
Tails 10-27-2003, 09:01 PM Pardon my neophyte question. What is meant by balancing?
:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:

Yeah, that's the first thing I looked for too! I could definitely make out the g-force lettering on the black one. :D
Second point: I too found myself draw to the red one WITHOUT the spoiler. I guess this shows that it shouldn't be hard to remove it. You just have to find a way to plug the mounting holes.

I don't know??? I had BF Goodrich g-Force KDWs on my Stang and they were great tires.
No balancing problems here. :)

:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:
the weights they put on the wheels to balance them out. I have about 8k on my KDWS and have had them balanced three times because it makes the vehicle shake really bad. The orinal tires on my truck never needed to be rebalanced, I believe those were Goodyear Comp T/A's.
Tails 10-27-2003, 10:03 PM Wow I couldn't believe that's what you meant. Looks like a visit every few K miles is in order to check it out.
:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:
geekoid 10-28-2003, 12:21 AM Thanks for the pictures, FunkyPig. It is good to see the GTOs ready to go.
Now all you need is some over zealous vet to jump on board, condemn the shipment, and send them all back :knightrider:
Well at least 460 Goats wouldn't be as bad as 50,000 sheep. :pyth:

Are you trying for worst joke of the thread? So far you are in the lead!!
:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:
Let me do some quick math here.
GTO's left October 27th.
That's 336 hours ago.
If the ship goes 20 mph.
336 X 20 = 6720 miles traveled!!!
How far is Australia from the West Coast?
Shouldn't they arrive any day now?
Tails 11-10-2003, 09:35 AM They actually left the 22nd and the ship, Chijin, is scheduled to be in Tacoma Washington tomorrow the 11th. That is 700 miles north of Benicia where the GTO's are scheduled to be offloaded. No information from any news source yet on when or if the cars have be unloaded at Benicia.
:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:
Speedfreak 11-12-2003, 10:45 AM Has anyone heard where that ship is now?
Tails 11-12-2003, 11:49 AM It is still in the port at Tacoma. The departure has been delayed for one day until the 13th. Don't know why. There are big gates and guards with guns or I would be onboard checking it out.
:laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce: :laughbounce:
edsmaroonz 11-12-2003, 01:54 PM come on your scared of armed guards?? just run by them and jump over the gates// like in the movies??
