I think Pontiac pulled out more because they are changing the image of Pontiac.

Haven't watched NASCAR in a long time...too bad Pontiac no longer is in there though.

Pontiac is only pulling out for a small period of time so they can switch gears and start racing gto's. True story

I believe it goatfarmer. There is no way that Pontiac, after making a commitment on the GTO, and implying by that decision that it's "back" is not going to race in NASCAR. The Goat will be the new platform - Pontiac only used the Grand Prix because it was there, now there's a new kid in town...

I believe part of this to be true. I see the GTO going racing for sure - just not in Nascar. I'm still thinking they want to change with the whole 'drivers' car thing - see the new Grand Prix adds. Road racing Le Mans style fits the image they are trying to portray, it fits the car better than driving in circles, and it makes sense because GM is planning on pulling the factory support for the Corvette team - all those guys will need something to do.

And after all - isn't the 'Le Mans' another old Pontiac name? Maybe that's what the Solstice could be badged as?
