Does anybody have suggestions on how to improve rear wheel traction? This is of course the biggest issue with the new GTO's too much HP for the rear tires. I'm going to buy an extra set of wheels and fit drag slicks on them to try and get my 1/8th down to high 8's. I know the stock GTO can run 8.7 but I haven't seen that yet in my car. Plus anybody doing any rear height adjustments, traction bars, or anything else to get that rear end to hook up? How about launch RPM's without T/C. Personally the T/C seems to bog me down so next time I'm going to experiment without the traction control being on. The only things I don't like about this car are no space to fit wider tires and independent rear suspension make too much wheel hop but other than that this GTO rocks. Anybody know how to reduce that hop? Thanks for any suggestions.

Launch RPM:2200-2600
Clutch, not all the way to the floor, bring it just under where it grabs, when you release it done just dump the clutch, a little slow and steady, it will slip just a bit, but will help you a lot.
There is no reason you souldn't be in the 8's for your 1/8th.
Rear suspension, you can do Springs or Air Bags, while air bags help some, they don't help others, I tried the bags and i didn't like how it made the car handle when i wasn't at the track
You can roll your fenders and fit 275's in the rear with out a problem.
Traction Control OFF at all times.
Do not drive through the water box, drive around it, if you drive though it you get water all over your tire, then when you pull up to stage all the water goes to the bottom of the tire, where your tire is sitting on the track, and thus no traction cause you have just made your own puddle.
When your at the line slow yourself down a bit, take your time, dont be so worried about the lights and the car in the other lane. Worry about getting your launch right,
