Anyone running 275's on the stock 17 rims? I have read on other forums that some people have no problem with rubing while others say you need drag bags. Anyone here have any experience with this? Last night i was at the track and all 5 times went up agaist cars with Dr's and all 5 times got my ass kicked even though my trap speed was 5-10 mph faster
time to get serious.

275's wouldn't fit my car unless I roll the fenders or do something with the suspension. The car squats to much.

How about the same tire in 245/45/17 That's the stock size. You won't have to worry about rubbiing with them. I have a set with about 100 miles and 8 passes on them. They work good. I'll send you pics if you want. $200 + shipping plus I'll throw in 2 stock BFG's with a few thousand miles left on em'. No flats ever. I got into road racing so they're just sitting here. Let me know.

275/40/17s Nitto's fit on the stock 17'' wheels. The Nitto's run much smaller than most other tires. I ran two sets of Nitto Drag radials 275/40/17 on the oem 17'' wheels with no rubbing, etc.
I also know dozens of guys with GTO's running these tires with no rubbing, etc.
But the Nitto's are the only 275 series tires that I know of the fit without rubbing.

I did notice this is sporatic post but the only way to go for DRs in my opinion is mickey thompsons. Nittos are grippy street tires, BFGs are in between(work well for m6s), MTs are drag tires.

Two sets on mine with no problems. They were my everyday tire until I got my other wheels. If I didn't have those, I'd still be on them.
