I had my Kooks long tube headers installed yesterday (along with a tune) at Futral Motorsports. Here are a couple pictures.

Well it's something different that's for sure. If you like it, that's all that matters. What does the SOTP dyno say? We'd love some sound clips too. Let us know. :)

The car definitely feels much more responsive. I am planning on a Futral cam sometime next year. Then, I'll have a full dyno tune. I don't have a way of recording a sound clip. I'll get with LA Phantom though. He may have a way to get that done. It's not a whole lot louder than stock, but it does have an nice, evil rumble to it!

How's the fitment? Any issues with the Kooks and the steering rack? All the talk about dropping the rack and hearing stories of crooked steering wheels after header installs really has me hesitant on long tubes. Other than that enjoy! :D

No fitment issues. The installer bled the steering system after the install (I don't remember them doing that for LA Phantom). The car is driving as well as ever. Heck, I don't even have plug wires coming close to the headers.

Perhaps I am speaking out of turn, but I believe that the blue on BRMike's headers is a Jet Hot ceramic coating. This coating is the same as mine except I got the sterling instead of blue. The sterling has a sort of chromed appearance and strangely enough has not discolored at all. I can tell you that I am very pleased with the Jet Hot ceramic coating. It is certainly worth the extra $5. ;)
