Being young and stupid I would like the loudest, deep sounding exhaust money can buy. I'm going to run the Volant C.A.I. and already have the Diablo tuner. So I need suggestions for the headers back....Thank You.

If you want loud, go longtube headers, No cats and SLP LM1 cat back. (Get ready to wake the neighbors and get acquainted with your local police) You could also opt for straight pipes fabbed up to go with the LT's or maybe some cutout's if you want loud then throw the switch back to muffled.

For maximum sound, long tubes are a must. There are various brands available. Catless mid pipes will also increase sound. Next, the cat back exhuast system. I've heard a few different brands and I'd have to say that the Corsa Sport has a very nice sound to it. I'm not sure if it's the loudest, but it sounds great. The Corsa system is among the higher priced systems as well. Finally, you may want to install a cut out system to really aplify the sound. Now, I'm not sure what kind of budget you're on, but this set up can be quite expensive. Check out Maryland Speed. They have a nice selection of exhaust components and have great customer service. I purchased my Kooks long tube headers from Maryland Speed and I am very satisfied.

I would go with the cut out system it's F(ing) loud and you can go stealth when you see the po po.
I have the Corsa Sport and I really like it good at a cruise and loud as hell when you jump on it..

Unless I can get my car registered in a county that doesn't require emmissions testing they will have to be catted. Do they make some kind of super high flow cat that makes your car just barely legal in that respect?
One more set of questions if you don't mind...How much of a concern is "matching" headers, mid pipes and exhaust. That is to say do different companies match up there systems to bolt up to eachother without having to do welding and fabricating?
Thanks again for your help.

You will get more power from a catless set up. However, I do not think it is a significant difference. The sound will be a little more subdued, but again I do not believe there is a huge difference between the two. Different headers may have different connections. For example, Kooks uses a ball type flange connection (collector to mid pipe) while SLP uses a slip joint connection. Check out Maryland Speed's website for more information and pricing.

Holycrap! That Corsa is nice! I'm sold. Ok one down and one to go. If a set of Kooks will bolt up to that system then I'm done. Thanks for all the help...I can't offer much else in return but if anyone needs advice on how to keep a relationship togethor..ummm nope I guess thats it.

I have these on my Camaros and they are much better than any stock, the catalytic core is twice the size of stock. 3" in 3" out, barely changes the resonance of the exhaust tone with them on compared to off.

hey orbit orange i was just wandering what type of improvments you noticed after insatlling the slp rear sway bar?

Orbit Orange

The rear was a little bit "tighter". A little less sway in the rear through corners. I have less wheelhop now with it and the King springs in the back. I'm pleased with it. Welcome aboard. :)
