I've got lots of pics from SEMA, including pics from a GM CD with Hi-res pics of the of nearly every car they had there. I took over 20 pics with my digital camera of the GTO alone.

Problems is I can't host the to post here. Someone email me who can host them so we can get them up!

anyone have any idea how much it would cost to make it so it actually looked like a dual exhaust on the new gto? how much is this package going to run for and how are they able to make 2 more pipes come out the other side? will it still sound the same and will it work??

i don't know for a fact but i would imagine the pipes might be like this ?

The engine is on the floor?

Now I'm confused. What is the function of the two air inlets at the lower front fascia? I assumed it to be a ram-air induction setup similar to the Vararam (http://www.vararam.com/products01.html) for the Vette. But the intake housing in the pictures looks identical to the stock GTO. Are these inlets being used to cool the front brakes?

The engine was on a display stand, the right half was a cut-away. I thought you guys might like to take a look at the manifolds.

The front lower air inlets are for the front brakes, again the car had an Autocross theme.

The indented split grill looks pretty good, something not quite right about the lower front though, doesn't suit the car. The extra two exhaust outlets for the sake of an extra two exhaust outlets is a bit lame. Also it will change the exhaust note that Holden\Pontiac have built onto the GTO. The molded GTO on the rear bumper looks outright garish.

CM_LS1 I dont think the exhaust is as symetrical as that as they played around with lengths and phasing to produce the GTO note.

Yes GM please NOTE.... I hate the MOLDED Mustang or Cobra on their bumper so what makes yout think I would like it on the GTO??!!??

Uh-oh. It's just me then. I like the "GTO" molded into the lower valance. Don't like the wing or the front air inlet though. I also think that the exhaust would look better with rounded openings vs. the squared off. I would also remove all badging, decals, etc. Save for the rear valance.

We are now down to nit picking over the things that don't really matter. How crazy is that?

Woah, woah, woah... Sorry but I am confused. What is this GTO and why is it nicer than the production... Sorry for making someone explain this to me...

1966 GTO,

SEMA is the Specialty Equipment Market Association. They market specialty equipment for production cars. What you are looking at is a styling exercise using parts that may be available for our GTO's in the very near future. As far as nicer. I dislike about 90% of what they've done to the stock GTO.

Well I have to say though, that it seems to me much healthier to have a performance car that people might want to add a few things on to, than to have a car that people can't wait to pull bits off. (with the exception of the rear spoiler)

Again I agree with you CVP (scarey :laughbounce: ). Then again - I've always been one to think that 'rodding' modifications should be somewhat unique to my car and not bought as a package anyway.

i like the current looks better the verry back bottom were the tips come out should round off under the car and for the spoiler do not get it to high?? the front with the grill tucked in more looks ok but the very bottom kicks out to much for me sorry just nit picking ??

Okay, looking at the front facia, the lip around the bottom inlet does look out of place. And the low molded rear bumper has Mustang written all over it. But I love the dual exhaust and the grills look great... Please lose the spoiler!!!

Seeing the car pictured in person I actually liked everything I saw except for the grille(s)...a little too....I dunno, the factory ones were nicer, and also the rear of the side farings flared out too much. The bottom of the bumper actually appeared very tasteful and the rear, though it had some fitment issues looked very appealing as well

Now if anyone has pics of the "3.5L Turbo" Grand Am next to it, that looked amazing.
