I wanna a sunroof or some sort of open roof design. Sunroof is cheaper and it's already an option on the Monaro in Au. It's honestly all that is keeping me from picking one up. It sounds petty, but I hate solid roofs. That was one of my requirements for my Formula.

I too like an open top. Drove a '00 Convertible Camaro SS for a week while my car was in the shop. Too much air. Sunroofs / moonroofs are nice. Have them on my LHS and my Tahoe. T-tops are ideal, had those on my '97 Z, but just wouldn't look right on the GTO. Too bad it's not available. Just another excuse to buy another in two weeks. B)

I wanted a moon roof but it was not a show stopper. I have found a few places that are willing to put one in. I will see. I have to research past customers before I make a committment on it.

one problem with installing an aftermarket moon/sunroof is that when you cut into the factory paint you never have as good corrosion protection as before. Also when we build the Suburbans and Tahoes with sunroofs they have galvanized roofs where the ones without sunroofs have plain steel.

We've done hundreds of aftermarket roofs in several different kinds of vehicles at the dealership and have yet to have a problem. We have agreat sublet shop we use. They do two things, sun/ moonroff & leather kits and do them both extremly well. If you plan to get one be sure to shop around and get a reputable shop to do the work. The thing you want is your local lube tech cutting open your roof like a soup can! :pain:
