Unfortunatly it was roped off, so you couldn't sit in it. I thought that was pretty stupid, considering they'll be in dealerships anytime. They were treating it like some super car by keeping people away from it.

Yes thanks for the pics. At least you got to see it from a distance. They pulled the GTO from the Seattle Auto show last weekend so I didn't get a chance.

Yeah, I was there as well. I didn't take any pictures because there wasn't anything new. However, I did get them to open the trunk for me (to see if my w/c would fit back there - it doesn't look good!). They had to hook up the battery to get the trunk open. There is no key hole for the trunk.

Since they went to the trouble of hooking up the battery to let the poor crippleboy look at the trunk, I thought I'd at least ask......"Since you got the battery hooked up, why don't you fire it up and let me hear the exhaust?" Of course the answer was a resounding "NO!"

I saw the Show Car in Detroit in January but this was my first in person viewing of the production version. My quick impressions are as follows:

-Overall GTO looks great
-Engine bay is AWESOME, you will definitetly be popping the hood often
-Interior looks great
-Production wheels are a lot more plain-looking in person, kind of disappointing
-Show Car's 245/40R18s looked a lot better
-If you don't live in the snow, get more aggressive rubber
-Spoiler doesn't look bad at all

To bad the family business is gone. We used to make smaller w/c to go down the airplane aisles. They might have fit in the trunk real nicely.

That's okay Tails, I can't give up my everday sportin' ride for my new sportscar. Worst case scenario is I gotta put it in the backseat when I have passengers just like I do now with my Stang. It just would be nice to be able have someone put it in the trunk and take three people in the car. We'll see when they come in in December. :D
