: Who has a Maggie?
FROROCKS 03-24-2009, 10:49 AM Who on here has one. And which one do you have? M112, M122, Or MP1900 TVS? What supporting mods. if any and was there anything you had to do (different strut bar, remove the hood insulation) for the fit?
Thanks in advance.

I guess not to many on here have FI. (crickets)
Well I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered and received my new power adder and tomorrow I take the GTO in for a new exhaust. Doing a Flowmaster custom 3" mandrel bent cat-back, resonator delete w/scavanger replacement, and keeping the stock tips w/super 40s.
Here some pictures of the maggie.

I won't being doing the install till my vacation, 2nd week in June. Just in time for summer.
Orbit Orange 05-26-2009, 05:37 PM I'm jealous.
Let us know how the install goes. Save some money for tires. ;)
cncmasterofor 05-27-2009, 09:57 AM Nice! Very nice...
FROROCKS 06-12-2009, 01:07 PM So I'm taken my GTO in Monday for the supercharger install. I was told to take out the Predator tune and reinstall the stock tune, before he does the install and dyno-tune. And I must say what a difference in performance it is. I've had the Predator for a couple of years and you just get used to it. Granted the Predator tune probably leaves some hp on the table, it is much better than the stock.

Who is doing your tune?
FROROCKS 06-12-2009, 03:29 PM Shelleys Performance. I ran into another goat owner, who had them put on a M112, and recommened them. I didn't even know we had a shop w/a dyno nearby. I would have gotten a dyno-tune instead of the Predator.
GTOROB 06-14-2009, 12:07 AM Have you installed it yet? If so,what numbers did your car put down?

The Goat goes in tomorrow, they will do a base dyno run and start the tear down. We're hoping around 500rwhp.

Good to hear there is someone near by. I guess Ellis and or TJ is a bit of a drive for ya.
Waiting on dyno sheet!
FROROCKS 06-15-2009, 05:38 PM Well I handed over the keys, I hate leaving my car somewhere besides my garage. Had the baseline dyno run, with stock tune, K&N air-charger, and the new Flowmaster cat-back. I put down 339.49 hp and 331.76 tq. Run conditions: 70.48deg.F. 28.00 in-Hg. Humidity 51%. SAE:1.06. Hoping to have her done by Wednesday!
Oh and on a bad side note, got a speeding ticket on the way there! Not the way I wanted to start my vacation. And I was playing it cool on the way there. I went to pass a car to get in the correct lane for the off ramp and he nails me for it. Said I should have slowed down and then pulled in behind the slower car to make the lane change. So as I'm sitting there waiting for the officer, I think to myself, here I am getting a speeding ticket on the way to put on a supercharger!?!
And as soon as he hands me the ticket, he walks back to his bike, pulls out his lazer gun, tags another car, and points them over. What a d!ck, it's all about revenue.
cncmasterofor 06-18-2009, 12:59 AM Any updates? Any rubbing on the strut tower bar and or hood?
Sucks about the ticket.

Well we're waiting for the ECM and the BCM. The shop owner wanted to get atleast a base tune from Magnuson, so he sent them the modules. Should be here today.
I'm going to stop by and take a look later today, after a friend and I go look at some new camaros. He want's to see one up close. I on the other hand, would'nt mind seeing one, but not to make a special trip. I'm done with GM.
walterGT67 07-06-2009, 12:47 PM So how did it go?
Any update??:)

I should be able to update the info when I get home tonight. All I can say is that it was a beast before, now it's a Super-beast!:D
FROROCKS 07-08-2009, 12:24 AM Well it took a little longer than a few days. Some shipping delays for the ECM and BCM and because it was the shops first TVS, they took their time. Which was fine by me. Here's the sheet-http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r53/FROROCKS1/Dynosheet.jpg
They just got it back from some driveability testing so she was a little hot when they dynoed it. He said it probably has a little more horses and they didn't redline it. Over all... it's a blast. Traction a BIG issue, it will spin the tires at half throttle from a stop and keep spinning through third. I'm looking to roll the rear fenders and get some wider meats to plant it to the pavement. The shift points are different now too, so I'm re-learning to drive her again. Sweet spots now are 25-28 and 60mph. All I can say is WOW! I've always wanted to supercharge a goat, ever since I saw "My science project". I know it's not my old 68 or 69 that I had plan back then, but I think this will do.:D
FROROCKS 07-09-2009, 12:27 AM Finally loaded some pictures of the installed supercharger. I did have to remove the hood liner, which means I had to paint the underside and I'm going to have to put spacers under the heat shield of the CAI so it will seal.

Because I didn't have the stock air box, I had to improvise and cut my K&N air tube(1st cut,I'm never that lucky), and put a coupler on it. I also moved the oil catch can to the front of the brake master cylinder. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r53/FROROCKS1/TVSCLOSEUP.jpg
cncmasterofor 07-09-2009, 01:01 AM Looks good!
You know SCSS makes motor mounts for these clearance issues from the supercharger. Just thought I would throw that out there.
GTOROB 07-09-2009, 11:16 PM Very nice man!! I hope to get blown one day,but it won't be anytime soon, that's for sure.
Congrats on the new found power, has to be a blast to drive!!

I saw those to and I was hoping I wouldn't need them. I have about 1/4" play under the strut bar, no contact so far.
I put in a 160* stat the other day and it really does make a difference. Speaking of high temps, how are you holding up with those triple digits? Did you break the all time high record?

I don't know about the record, but it was 108* at my house the other day. I won't complain though, because before I know it the rain will be back.:(
The goat really doesn't care for the heat + the cam.
FROROCKS 08-02-2009, 04:52 PM I finally got my hands on a digital camera that does vids.. Here's a short take.

Orbit Orange 09-05-2009, 10:11 AM How did I miss this? Gotta love the blower whine fro. :)
FROROCKS 09-06-2009, 02:02 PM Thanks guys. The whine is not overly loud like the last Gen superchargers from Magnuson, but just loud enough to let people in the know, know.:D
jerseymike68 09-12-2009, 03:35 AM thanks for these information
LA_Phantom 03-14-2011, 08:00 AM Made my way through the entire thread. Very nice indeed! I did not notice any reference to upgrading fuel injectors and such. Did I miss that, or is that just a given for this FI application?
Again, very nice. :D

60lbs injectors came w/the TVS kit. The tuner/installer said he had to tune them to the lowest percentage at idle. We were thinking of swapping them out for 42s, but they're working just fine. I'm not sure about the BAP from Magnuson. I may swap the stock fuel pump for an aftermarket one.

What advantage is there to swapping out the stock fuel pump? I will have to take a look to see what you are referring to when you mention BAP. Sounds like something one might expect to find on the Batmobile. ;)
LA_Phantom 03-16-2011, 04:37 AM Ok...Boost A Pump = BAP. Gotcha.
FROROCKS 10-04-2011, 03:28 PM ...and it's still going strong! Had one issue with a leak by the back pulley, but Magnuson took care of it. Thinking of getting a one piece intake tube, to clean it up, other than that (and some wider tires), I'm pretty happy with the setup.
***I rather have it blown than have it stroked!***:)
Orbit Orange 10-08-2011, 12:20 AM Cool. What's your mileage up to with the blower now?

About 7k. Found out that it was a miscast on the rear housing plate. New housing plate, rotors, shafts, and bearings.
Happy Holidays double "OO" and take care. -Fro.
