I got a call from my dealer this morning with the GMS price of my GTO. It's going to be $29,595. My car is an automatic and this includes the gas guzzeler tax. So it will be about $31,500 out the door with tax and title. :woot:

Those are some high taxes. My LHS was $32,000 and I only had $1,000 in TTT but that's VA.

6% sales tax on $29,595 is $1,775. :angry: I guess the state needs theirs also!

Is that supplier pricing? I wasn't sure of they were gonna make it available for supplier pricing since they are only importing a limited supply.

Hmm, that just makes teh GTO more appealing to me, just gotta pay my Maxima off a bit more first.

That is GMS pricing not Supplier Pricing. It is my understanding that GMS is about $1,100 under invoice and Supplier is about $200 or $300 over invoice. But the Dealers make more off GMS because GM gives them a 5% kickback. Some Dealers will give GMS but I bet none will give Supplier Discount, at least this year anyhow!

4th GTO,

Correct on all accounts. GMS will be VERY hard to come by and GM-supplier discounts will be nonexistent. I was very lucky to find a dealer willing to do GMS in my area. There are not too many people in VA who use GMS, so most dealers are surprised when you ask for it. B)

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "GMS Pricing"? What is "Supplier Pricing"? (I know a little about dealer invoice and holdbacks but have not heard of these other terms)

I believe my wife's job makes us eligible for some kind of discount because she works for a division of Rockwell - as long as her name appears on the title (it will regardless). Is this either of the above? Thanks !

GMS is GM employee and direct family memeber (ie mom, dad, son daughter, brother sister) and supplier is for employees of companies that supply GM parts and services. Dealers are not forced to participate with either program.
