Ok I budgeted 15 grand for the car. I want new wheels(Beyern 5's, 18in staggered), larger rotors and better calipers, new suspension(not the 3600$ Pedders set up but something decent) and I'm still torn between forced induct or not.
I went to Livernois and really liked their stuff. People have good things to say about them. But basically if I went all engine I would want it to be stroked with a daily drivable cam(doesn't mean it can't be a little rough). New heads and intake and all the **** that goes along with that buisness.
If I went forced it would be the procharger route but then I wouldn't have the money to do much engine build up, which I relate to reliability.
I really like the idea of a badass, loud and fairly rough idling newer car. There is one guy in my town that procharged his 06 and let me test drive it. It was faster than mine but not "holy****!, hold on to your boots Martha!" faster. Plus he only dynoed 135 more hp than I do and his is mild as **** sounding, besides the whine during acceleration. BTW I do 385rwhp now and would like to get to at least 450rwhp.
I guess my goal really isn't quarter mile speed but more performance, sound and of course sexy. I'm gonna get those sap grille inserts and maybe go with a lip spoiler for that.
I hope you guys are ready for some serious discussion cuz I got a lotta free time. Thank you in advance for any help.

Don't forget that if you start upping the HP substantially that other drivetrain components will be in order. Halfshafts, driveshaft and so on. If it were my $$$ I'd do the blower first and see what money I have left over and go from there. Will you be doing the work when you get back or will a speed shop be doing it? Budget for that as well.

Yeah I forgot about the drive train stuff. I figured I would have to do axles halfs and prob a single piece drive shaft, which will suck cuz I paid good money to have my exhaust welded up and I think a one piece drive will make where my exhaust is now not possible. Get a new clutch and flywheel as well.
As far as me doing the work...I will do all of the suspension/brake work myself. Wheels and tires I can do, axles and drive line I can do. I can prob do clutch and fly wheel myself as well. When it comes to engine work though...I won't let pride and the satisfaction of a job done by myself be the cars downfall. I know given the time and tools I could do it but their, for me at least, is to much risk. New cars like ours are going to have get to a dyno shop at some point to have all the electronics messed with so it runs properly. I wish it was as simple as tuning a carb but it isn't now a days and I'd rather pay someone to do it for me.
Another question I have is tire size. Does anyone know the max width I can strap on a 18x9 rim without the danger of that thing shredding off the rim in a fast corner?
I guess its a good thing I got the 1 7/8ths headers to start with. Been reading in other forums that they go well with larger displaced motors.

P.S. thanks for responding Orbit.

The wheels should support a 285 tire no problem. That all depends on your wheel offset and suspension mods.
