Hey all,

I have to restore a car for a project, and I need to figure out what I should do first to my 66 GTO. It's been stripped down to just the frame, windshield and dash removed. My dad's a big gto guy, he used to rave em "back in the day" and he says first thing is to get another dash in it, then we'll put a 326 in it and put the 389 in the machine shop. What should I do first? I need to know because I wanna have the goat rolling or I'm gonna be riding in a 71 Maverick :pain: (we took out the 6 cylinder and are putting a 351 windsor in it) Any help would be appreciated.

My personal opinion is to invest in the drivetrain first and foremost, then suspension, interior and the last thing is the body and paint. I'm restoring a 69, but I got one that was an older restroation and just needed some tlc. Good luck! I love the 66's.
