keep in mind that 30HP is around only 15RWHP...so...
oh yea big time, i think thats by far the most important thing that has to be taught about when it comes to the power of an engine, is the real life HP the car gives not just the engine, probably calm down a few egos
Combined with a tune for sure...with CAI, catback, long tube headers, and no tune, I made 358 rwhp...which I figure corresponds to a gain of approximately 18 rwhp, give or take a few horsepower, over the stock configuration. After a tune, I was making 374 rwhp.

ahh so there may be hope, you guys are lucky to run long tubes, cops here in L.A. already got the hearing down for long tube headers
Sad isn't Andy.... I would love to run long tube headers.
That's a ticket waiting to happen.

got that right, if we manage to pass smog with long tubes, you know the cops in LA already got the ears ready for exhaust, nothing like a 250 dollar fine for dsiturbing the peace with loud decibles, blah

did u dyno tune it or did u get like a predator tune .. tryin to determine which is worth the doe
maybe i could get some estimates! i have 1 and 7/8 kooks headers, magniflow all the way back I think its 3" but not sure, the cats have been replaced with racing cutouts for off road use. k&n cold air, wilson F.A.S.T. intake manifold, lower temp thermostat, and i know the comp has been reprogrammed just not sure to what extent. was wondering what engin gains i have? i plan to test on dyno but have to wait for next trip outa town, what dose the ls2 gto chassis dyno stock? for a base.
I personally love the sound of a h-pipe. Sounds deep and mean, for the little bit of hp gain from a x-pipe its not worth the raspy sound. But to each it's own. If I was you I would leave the exhaust you have and add the h-pipe then see if you want to change mufflers. Do it one thing at a time to hear the difference. I have a h-pipe and flow master race mufflers and the car sounds like its going to beat you up but to bad it sounds a lot meaner than it is lol.
This Spintech exhaust is the ultimate way to make your GTO sound great and outperform the competition! Starts by increasing the tubing diameter from the factory 2” to a mandrel bent 2.5” tubing, then add Spintech's famous super pro street mufflers, and you have one awesome system. This design sounds incredible when mashing the accelerator but provides a mellow tone while cruising with almost no interior resonance. This aluminized system comes with 3" single wall polished tips (4" tips are available as an upgrade). Fits 2004 GTO Only!
