f***. On the way home today I noticed it was difficult to shift into second. Twice I thought I had locked into second and when I depressed the clutch I heard that dreaded grinding noise. I quickly pressed in the clutch and noticed that the shift nob hadn't fully engaged into second gear. This has happened once before. Is this a known issue? Also, have I significantly damaged my transmission?

Heh...I've done the same thing when I first started driving the Goat. It still gets me sometimes when shifting into Reverse. I wouldn't worry about it until about the 20th time.

No this doesn't do any real damage to the transmission, but it can if done enough times.
