SLP Underdrive Pulley Installation

Has anyone actually installed an underdrive pulley themselves? If so, is it possible to do the install with the removal of the radiator? TIA.

You can probably get it in there without pulling the radiator. If I were you and planned on getting a cam, I would wait. There aren't big gains from just the pulley and you have to take it off again when putting in the cam. The bolt is not reusable and you'll have to replace that each time too.

I hear ya. I am just getting antsy with the underdrive pulley sitting on my shelf.

Can't re-use the bolt? This TTY bolt business is a bunch of CRAP. I've been building engines for 20 years and I've not once replaced a non-reusable bolt. I reuse TTY head bolts ALL the time. This is the biggest scam to ever hit the automotive industry. I'll bet you I've built no less than 50 engines, reusing the original TTY head bolts, withOUT failure. Granted, you can't reuse the same torque spec when you reuse them, but they can still be successfully reused with the same results.

Almost all the time it'll be OK... that's the thing. Just the few stories you hear it's worth replacing for a few dollars. My buddy reused his UD Pulley bolt and his popped off and went rolling down the road. Could have been torqued wrong, but it happened.
I'm guilty on my head swap, we doped up and reused I believe 8 bolts due to the change in the LS1 block and I got the old bolts. It was fine as it was at the time. When I added N2O I needed the extra piece of mind and changed them out to head studs.
