Quote from double OO "Short of ordering a thermistor and rigging up an IAT on my own I think I'm just going to have to grin and bear it until it cools off. I think I'd have a hard time paying 15 bucks for something that looks like 2 little copper wires attached to the head of a pin. I know it works but I just can't bring myself to doing it yet."
Which product(company) is this? And um...where IS the IAT sensor located?

www.omega.com part# 44005. if you have an '04 it'sbetween the MAF sensor and the throttle body on the underside next to the radiator. on an '05-'06 it's part of the MAF sensor.

Well it looks like I won't be moving my IAT into the cone filter!

Why not? Just add the new thermistor, splicing it into the existing wiring, and disabling the IAT that is integral to the MAF. Your PCM (I think this is right) will still get a signal. It's just that this signal will come from the new thermistor, which will update more frequently than the stock one. Svede, did I summarize this accurately?

I was with you 100% on that. It took a couple of embarrassing moments when the goat couldn't perform to change my mind.
15 bucks + shipping is worth it for me.

you can just get the thermistor, cut the two wires going to the MAF that are for the IAT sensor and splice them to the thermistor wherever you want
