Volant Intakes?

I hear alot of talk on these. Is there anything that make them better than a K&N or Linginfelter setup?

Theory, that's about the only thing as far as i'm concerned. I have the Volant, and wasn't impressed with it. I had to modify it to fit in the car, and then had to 'fabricate' something to stop it from hitting the PS pulley. If I had it to do over again i'd have gotten the LPE setup. I don't believe the volant actually works as well as it's supposed to.

No fitment issues with my K&N Air Charger...but I will still contend that there really is not much difference between the various CAI brand names. What they do have in common is the fact that they breathe all of the hot air I can give them.

After a few weeks, I can honestly say I see no improvment with the Volant...I guess it is a supporting mod.

Just pick the CAI you like. They will all give the same HP/TQ IMO. I've had 3 different ones and I didn't feel a difference between any of them.

The Volant seems much higher quality than the others I have come across.

Thanks!

It is built from nice, high quality materials and has a fully enclosed box.

Thanks!

Then again, if a fully-enclosed box is what you're looking for, you might be better off with a K&N panel, two-hole modded OEM airbox and a new MAF pipe.
