Yeah the wistling was real bad in my car today at the track they need a CAI for the 05 the poor little guy just couldnt get enough air to breath .
:hysterical:

I got my Speed Induction on correctly after I left the track...I got it on sale at Tbyrne - It is a fairly good unit and it is not expensive. [/b][/quote]
You laugh in I thought on my first run there was a supercharger that I wasnt aware of it was so loud. LOL

Has anyone received any additional info on the whistling sound. My husband and myself noticed it. Car just hit 500 miles. We drove a couple of them before purchasing this one off the showroom floor without driving it. Dont remember hearing it in the others. But the only time it is really noticeable is when you first crank it up in the garage after it has been sitting over night.

Alt. whine ~ putting charge on batt. after draw from from starter motor & parasitic drain , usually goes away after batt. is fully charged . My 05 makes this noise , but I would call it a whine not a whistle ? ~~ Comments ?

I recently installed my LPE CAI and the whistling is more noticeable. From what I can tell it’s the air passing through the throttle body at partial throttle. There must be just the right angle of flow to make the whistle when it is open just part way.

Same goes for me, mine has 641 miles on it its an 06 6MT. It whistles really loud at startup, than after about 15 seconds it goes away.

My car does the same thing at start up when it was stock and now. GM says it's just the intake sucking in air and I agree. Nothing to worry about IMO.
